Hunger for nourishment.
Hunger for touch.
Hunger to belong.
Half-human and half-faery, Ani is driven by her hungers.
Those same appetites also attract powerful enemies and
uncertain allies, including Devlin. He was created as an assassin and is brother to the faeries' coolly logical High Queen and to her chaotic twin, the embodiment of War. Devlin wants to keep Ani safe from his sisters, knowing that if he fails, he will be the instrument of Ani's death.
Ani isn't one to be guarded while others fight battles for her, though. She has the courage to protect herself and the ability to alter Devlin's plans—and his life. The two are drawn together, each with reason to fear the other and to fear for one
another. But as they grow closer, a larger threat imperils the whole of Faerie. Will saving the faery realm mean losing each other?
Alluring romance, heart-stopping danger, and sinister intrigue combine in the penultimate volume of Melissa Marr's New York Times best selling Wicked Lovely series.

Books for Soldiers

I just read this on today and I think it is a wonderful program... To say thanks to our brave Soldiers!
This is such a great idea Dog-Eared Pages used book store here is their post...
Books for Soldiers 100,000 Paperback Books going to the Middle East!
We started this New Program at our Used Bookstore in Phoenix, Arizona after speaking with some of our customers who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were telling us that in their off-duty hours there wasn't much to do other than read or play video games and unfortunately there were never enough books for everyone to read and pass around.
We trade for used books in our store and often times we receive duplicate titles we don't need on our shelves. We have been donating books since we opened our bookstore in August of 2008 to the VA Hospital with Vets on their way down for treatment and Senior Communities & many other charities around town and we will continue all of these worthy programs.

The Books for Soldiers Program is going to be a massive undertaking and we are asking for every Patriot in America to help.
We are donating all the books. We'll pack & address the boxes, fill out the custom forms, and stand in line at the post office to send them out.
Here's what you can do:
Send an e-mail to all of your friends, letting them know that we need the address of any person serving in the Middle East and ask them to send the message on to their friends. We need this message to go viral; it will take 3,847 names @ 26 paperbacks per box to reach our 100,000 book goal.

If you use Facebook or Twitter please post the message there also. If we all work together we can really make a difference for our soldiers.
In your message, you can use this link for more information and instructions. http://Tinyurl.com/Soldiers-Books
To get a box of books shipped here's all you need to do:
Send the name and address and your relationship (friend or relative) along with what he/she likes to read to: info@Dogearedpagesusedbooks.com We are sending a personalized letter in each box we pack stating who gave us their name (i.e. Greetings from Dog-Eared Pages Used Books in Phoenix, AZ Your mother gave us your name and address and asked us to send this box of books to you and your friends serving with you. etc)
We are sending out the boxes as donations for postage is received, our friends and neighbors here in Phoenix are contributing every day.
Please, if you can
Go to the Home Page scroll down to the bottom and make a donation for postage, it costs only 50 cents to get a book into the hands of our brave young men and women serving in the Middle East.
Thank You in advance for your efforts

Review : Stopping Time

Hello, I am a Dark Court Junkie......... I am so glad that Melissa Marr penned this wonderful short story. I always wanted to know what happened to Leslie. Did she miss her Dark Court family? In the first half it was so wonderful to get to revisit our old friends, and then bam cliffhanger!~!

So in part 2 I absolutely love the interaction between Niall, Irial and Leslie. It is like being a fly on the wall, getting a little insight about what happened to them after the last page of Ink Exchange. And to find out a bit of history on what sent Naill to the Summer court.

To me Stopping Time is a perfect extension of Ink Exchange. It left me very please with the ending and wanting More!~!~
Go Team Naill! :O)

CRESCENDO Summary! By Becca Fitzpatrick

THE STORY:
CRESCENDO

From Becca Fitzpatrick'd book page..
The sequel to the New York Times best-selling phenomenon, Hush, Hush! In stores everywhere November 16, 2010.

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The further Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim bloodline has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?
Ohhh Sounds good yes?? I can't wait to see the new cover.. Can it live up to the cover love we had for HUSH HUSH??

My Review:
Love, Hate, Anger, Fidelity, Chaos, Order, Friendship, and Betrayal! WOW! Everything is in the balance in Faerie. In this the 4th installment of the Wicked Lovely world. We find that Ani the Daughter of Gabriel leader of the Hunt, in grave danger. Who can she trust who can she save? As with all hounds of the of the Hunt Ani holds family and her court above all... Rabbit her brother, Tish her sister and her father whom she was sent to live with after she was more faery than mortal, she is different than the rest of her pack. Irial former king of the Dark Court, has relinquished his throne to Niall once most trusted adviser of his court. Ani would do anything for her former King.

Sorcha, High Queen the Never Changing Queen. Yet, as of late things are not good in her land. She has only one person on her mind, Seth the faery made by her own hand, newest faery and consort to the Summer Queen Ash. Devlin is torn by his Sister-Mothers, he was their first made faery, and the High Queen's Bloody hand. Bananach War and Chaos are her way of life. She has always wanted more. Now she wants something that will make her the ruler of all Faerie. And free her from her bond with Sorcha.Since he was made by them he has some of both in him.. he fights for his Queen as always. And has only disobeyed one order..... Now Devlin has to fight for what he has always wanted to truly belong.

Along the way we find out a few interesting things that were left up to our imaginations. How will their kind find any sort of balance where there is none??? Read and find out :O)....

Contest Devil of The Highlands by Lynsay Sands

As you all probably know I am a Paranormal Loving Reader... But I figure maybe I should expand my horizons. I have loved all of the Argeneau Vampire books I have read by Ms Sands. So I thought why not host a contest to give all the Paranormal and Kilt Loving Readers a chance to win a Signed copy of of one of Lynsay's Devil of the Highlands books!!!~! Now How cool is that!~! With back to back releases it is a perfect time to get aquanted with a new series!~!
Devil of The Highlands By Lynsay Sands January 2009

They call him the Devil . . .

He is the most notorious laird of Scotland: fierce, cold, deadly . . . and maybe even worse. Yet Evelinde has just agreed to wed him. Anything, she thinks, is better than her cruel stepmother. Though Evelinde should be wary of the rumors, she can’t help but be drawn to this warrior . . . for the Devil of the Highlands inspires a heat within her that is unlike anything she has ever known.
They may call him whatever they wish, but Cullen, Laird of Donnachaidh, cares only for the future of his clan. He must find a wife, a woman to bear him sons and heed his commands. He has no need for beauty or grace, but one taste of his lovely bride’s sweet lips and the sultry feel of her skin arouse an untamed passion. Perhaps there’s more to marriage than he thought .

Taming the Highland Bride
January 26, 2010

She was ready to let her heart run wild . . .

Merry Stewart has had enough! Enough of her brothers, whose behavior would make even the most improper lady blush. Enough of their highland home, which would surely have fallen to ruin were it not for her. She dreams of escaping into the arms of her betrothed, Alexander d’Aumesbery—even though they haven’t yet met. But when they do, Merry is devastated. It seems he’s no better than the men in her family.

So beautiful, so brazen . . . From the moment he meets Merry, Alexander is overcome with desire. Desperate to convince her he’s nothing like the members of her roguish clan, he will prove he is every bit the well-mannered gentleman. Yet beneath it all beats a heart as intense and uncontrollable as hers. And finally, when his life is threatened, Merry realizes he’s the husband she’s been waiting for . . . and their passion becomes the one thing that cannot be tamed.

The Hellion And the Highlander by Lynsay Sands
February 23, 2010

Only one man could set her heart ablaze…
Lady Averill Mortagne learned to control her fierce temper as a young girl. But if her father insists on parading her before one more English lord who looks askance at her flame-colored hair, she’ll simply scream! Her only respite is the time she spends with Kade Stewart, the wounded Scot her brother brought home from the Crusades. Who could have imagined a Highland warrior would be the only gentleman around?
Lady Averill helped save his life, and for that Kade is truly grateful. She is also almost unbearably beautiful, but he could never subject such a sweet and gentle lady to the rough life of a Stewart laird’s bride . . . or could he? When she braves an unexpected danger by his side, Averill will prove to Kade that her heart is as fiery as her hair . . . and that submitting to their scorching passion would be heaven indeed.
