New Release's Today Stakes and Stiletto's and Immortal Hunter
Out today!! Stakes & Stilettos by Michelle Rowen
Newly vamped Sarah Dearly wants her normal life back, but fate is fighting against her. She tries to get a regular job and gets staked in the interview, only to be rescued by a masked vampire who calls himself the Red Devil. Then a wallflower-turned-witch curses her, making her a bloodthirsty, sun-allergic nightwalker--the worst vampire there is. As if all that weren't enough, she can't get married because her 600-year-old boyfriend, Thierry, is in a centuries-long marriage of convenience he can't escape. As Sarah's nightwalker tendencies make her more dangerous, even to those she loves, she'll have to counteract that curse, unmask the increasingly intriguing Red Devil, and get a commitment from her man. But if that's what it takes to secure her happiness, Sarah is ready...even if it means embracing her inner vamp to do it.
Stakes and Stilletto's is the 4th installment in the Immortality bites series.
It is hard to believe that all the books take place in a 10 week time frame!
Poor Sara has gotten herself into a mess this time! All She wanted to do is go to her high school reunion, with her gorgeous 600-year-old boyfriend. Add to the mix a mysterious stranger. Vampire hunters. An angry ex class mate that just happens to be a witch. And her Thierry's wife..
This book is packed full of twists and turns.
I love a book that isn't predictable.
Thierry melted my heart in this one.
I cant wait for TALL, DARK & FANGSOME!! Which will sadly be the last in the series.
If you love Vampire's and you haven't already checked out this series, you should.
My rating: YYYY of 5 Y's " I Really Liked It!"
The Immortal Hunter By Lynsay Sands
Even vampires need a vacation. But Decker Argeneau's ends abruptly when he's asked to help hunt the group of rogue vampires targeting mortals -- one that might include a defector in his own family. Before he can worry about that, though, he's got to rescue the latest victim. It's all part of the job, including taking a bullet for a beautiful doctor.
Dr. Danielle McGill doesn't know if she can trust the man who just saved her life. There are too many questions, such as what is the secret organization he says he's part of, and why do his wounds hardly bleed? However, with her sister in the hands of some dangerous men, she doesn't have much choice but to trust him.
Except now Decker's talking about life mates and awakening a passion that's taking Dani beyond anything she's ever known. Being undead may not be half-bad...especially if it means spending forever with a man who would love her with his mind, body, and immortal soul.

Cassandra Clare Signing in Exton PA.
I started my work day at 5 am. After I was off for the day, I headed home to grab my books and head for Exton PA. For the Cassandra Clare City of Glass Launch!! The Trip took just a bit over 2 1/2 hours.I arrived at Exton Border where the staff were all excited about the signing. Most were dressed for the festivities.. Michelle is there YA expert, and has a wonderful blog. She also had many suggestions for future reads!
Cassandra Clare was very generous with her time, she arranged for this stop in PA herself. She said she wanted to make sure some of her fans on the East Cost had the opportunity for a signing.
CC did a wonderful reading, then fielded questions from her fans. I asked wether she had considered writing a follow up story to pick up after City of Glass?? Her answer was yes she had given it much thought. And after a while might write a story about the future of Simons character. Of course Jace and Clary would be in it as would all of our favorites.
Some one also asked if Edward and Jace got into a fight who would win??
Her answer was ... they wouldn't fight that they would paint there nails black and join a band.!!
It has been a long day. I had a very nice time. The Ravenous Reader is waiting on my Pics so she can add some to her COG palooooza she has going on her blog.
So many thanks to the staff at the Border in Exton PA and Ms Cassandra Clare.

In My Mailbox....
Well this is my very first in my Mailbox,
And wooo hooo I wait no more for I have recieved Fragile Eternity!!! Thanks to my Sistah from another Mistah!
Seth never expected he would want to settle down with anyone—but that was before Aislinn. She is everything he'd ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen.
Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who'd always terrified her—but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she'd ever imagined.
In Melissa Marr's third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos.

In her wildest dreams, Constance Plyd never thought she'd see dead people. Then again, she never thought she'd be hit on by her ex-husband at his own funeral...or be the prime suspect in his murder. Fortunately for Constance, irresistibly sexy sheriff Nathan Garrett wants to believe her explanation -- that a card-carrying demon in a black suit killed Jimmy in the garage -- or maybe he wants something more. Either way, all signs are leading to a showdown of hellish proportions, with Constance at the heart of the battle, when the Devil and would-be mother of the Antichrist (a pop princess wannabe) descends on Crockett County. Sure, she'd rather be cooking up a storm for the next state fair, but if she's going to be the Chosen One, at least Constance can give a few demons a Texas-style butt kicking....
Sucks to Be Me: The All-True Confessions of Mina Hamilton, Teen Vampire (maybe)
Mina Hamilton's parents want her dead. (Or undead to be precise.) They're vampires, and like it or not, Mina must decide whether to become a vampire herself. But Mina's more interested in hanging out with best friend Serena and trying to catch the eye of the too-hot-for-high-school Nathan Able than in the vampire training classes she's being forced to take. How's a girl supposed to find the perfect prom date and pass third-year French when her mom and dad are breathing down her neck--literally?
Sophie Blue started wearing a black skirt and Midnight Noir lipstick on her last birthday. It was also the day her father disappeared. Or spontaneously combusted. Which is sort of bad timing, since a Popsicle truck with tinted windows has started circling the house.Kenny Fade is a basketball god. His sneakers cost more than his Jeep. He's the guy all the ladies (and their mommas) want. Bad.Sophie Blue and Kenny Fade don't have a thing in common. Aside from being reasonably sure they're losing their minds.Acclaimed author Sean Beadoin's wildly innovative novel combines uproarious humor with enough plot twists to fill a tube sock. Park thriller, part darkly comic philosophical discussion, and accompanied by a comic book interstitial, Fade to Blue is a whip-smart romp that keeps readers guessing until the last paragraph.
Heaven couldn't be a phone bank, could it?Charlotte Usher discovers that the afterlife isn't quite what she pictured when she's forced to intern at a hotline for troubled teens. Before she can officially cross over, she'll have to be a source of guidance for one such teen. The problem is she doesn't have much advice to offer since dying hasn't exactly boosted her confidence level. But when Hawthorne High's leading, love-to-hate cheerleader Petula and her gothic little sis' Scarlet find themselves suddenly resting-in-peace in comas, Charlotte's opportunity to save them will prove to be the risk of a lifetime-for all of them.
And Last but not least, I had to get this because it for ever immortalizes my wonderful Twilight loving.. book Sistah from another Mistah....

Hunted by PC and Kristin Cast
Amazon Product Description Hunted a House of Night Novel What if the hottest guy in the world was hiding a nameless evil, and all he wanted was you?At the start of this heart-pounding new installment of the bestselling House of Night series, Zoey’s friends have her back again and Stevie Rae and the red fledglings aren’t Neferet’s secrets any longer. But an unexpected danger has emerged. Neferet guards her powerful new consort, Kalona, and no one at the House of Night seems to understand the threat he poses. Kalona looks gorgeous, and he has the House of Night under his spell. A past life holds the key to breaking his rapidly spreading influence, but what if this past life shows Zoey secrets she doesn’t want to hear and truths she can’t face?On the run and holed up in Tulsa’s Prohibition-era tunnels, Zoey and her gang must discover a way to deal with something that might bring them all down.
Meanwhile, Zoey has a few other little problems. The red fledglings have cleaned up well – they’ve even managed to make the dark, creepy tunnels feel more like home – but are they really as friendly as they seem? On the boyfriend front, Zoey has a chance to make things right with super-hot ex-, Eric, but she can’t stop thinking about Stark, the archer who died in her arms after one unforgettable night, and she is driven to try to save him from Neferet’s sinister influence at all costs. Will anyone believe the power evil has to hide among us?
MILD SPOILER ALERT...........................
Here is my little review..........
So much of the book seems to do nothing but recap the ending of the previous novel. That was a bit of a waste of time.
The whole Zoey, Erik, Heath, and Stark "thing" is becoming increasingly annoying and unrealistic. As much as it is common for teens to be "boy-crazy," usually they are able to choose one person and stick with them for a more a blink of an eye. Zoey can't even stick with one character for more than a page. Just pick one already! (Well, pick Stark....I have really started to dislike Erik and feel Heath just too obsessed... ;O)
The story was moving right along until they group headed back to the House of Night.
I anticipated a much stronger story from Kolona, Neferet and the rest of the evil doers. Zoey seems a little easily gotten out of trouble. To many quick fixes in this installment.
As a result, my favorite character is Aphrodite. She's much more interesting and complex.
She is true to her self and isn't going to change for anyone. Plus her love for Darius a handsome brave Son of Erebus (can you tell I am digging there part of the story)
But despite the flaws that I feel are glaring in this installment of the series, I will read the next one. After all, the major strength of this series is the ability to create suspense and leave great cliffhangers. I have very much enjoyed the rest of the series. I truly hope the next installment gives more answers than questions. And Doesn't have the end of the installment pretty much at the same place it started out.
