Pride By Rachel Vincent

I love love love this book!

Third in the were cat shifter books.

Here's hoping cats do have nine lives I’m on trial for my life. Accused of infecting my human ex-boyfriend—and killing him to cover up the crime. I’m not guilty. But tell that to the panel of Alphas sitting in judgment. Infecting a human is one of three capital offenses recognized by the Pride—along with murder and disclosure of our existence to a human.I’m two for three. A goner.

On top of that, Marc is in danger of being tossed from the Pride, then we discovered a rogue stray terrorizing the mountainside, hunting a wild teenage tabbycat. I think I can protect her from both the ambitious rogue and the scheming of the territorial council.

Faythe is a headstrong act before you think kind of gal. Marc is her left at the alter ex-boyfriend, who just happens to be her fathers (the alpha) right hand man/ top enforcer. Ms Vincent builds a complex character in Faythe who is both the somewhat spoiled and pampered daughter with a strong independent streak and her tough Alpha-father's daughter in every way.

Faythe is realistically torn between her rebellion and her loyalties. Her dilemma is understandable to any woman that hasn't fit into the traditional mold of their society. Faythe has no intention of settling down and starting a family.

With the shortage of female werecats her family and the council have just about had enough of her rebellion. Faythe now on trial for her life and could loose her beloved freedom... forever...... She must now convince the council that she didn't bite and infect her former boyfriend with the were cat virus on purpose. Then kill him to cover it up.

With a very strong back story of were cat politics coming in to play.. You will be in for a wild ride.. a few tears.. and a few major OMG moments!

Ms Vincent's writing gets stronger and stronger as you read. So even if you start the first book and you want to give Faythe a big 'ol smack ( I sure wanted to). Give this series a try. You wont regret it..

Raiting.. outta 5 Y's

YYYYY
